Can laser hair removal get rid of any hair?

Can hair on places like the underarms, pubic area, eyebrows, etc. be treated effectively?

Virtually, any body area that has hair can be treated. The anal area is sensitive because hair gets fairly close to the mucosa in that area. The inner ear and inside of nose are also off limits for our practice. All other areas are straightforward.

Laser hair removal can be performed on any area that can be treated with the spot size of the handpiece. It is generally not done on eyebrows as the laser light is too close to the eye area in this case. Underarms, bikini, legs, arms, and facial hair are all treated effectively as long as the hair is not blonde, red or gray. These hair colors do not respond well to laser as there is not enough pigment to pick up the light and direct it to the follicle.

Hair on the areas you mention can be removed. The requirement for laser
hair removal to be effective is that the hair should have color. Laser
hair removal works best when hair is coarse and dark, but can also work
with finer hairs provided that they have some color. Laser hair removal
cannot "shape" the eyebrows because it is not precise enough to do that,
but it can remove them completely or remove the area of hair above the
nose and between the brows. Make sure to choose a laser hair removal
practitioner that has a laser that is specifically designed for your
skin type or you risk side effects and less than optimal results.

Regards,
