Body art means different things to different people. There are some people who get body art merely as a way to assert their rebelliousness, while other people get it to commemorate a certain time in their lives or something that they feel very strongly about. As interesting as body art is, there are some people who are dissatisfied with the way that their body art looks, or because the body art mentions an ex relationship.
So, rather than having to look at that annoying tattoo any longer, it is time to start looking for a tattoo remover. Some people are under the misconception that a tattoo will not take much time to remove at all. Actually, it will take at least a couple of sessions in order to remove a moderate to large sized tattoo, no matter what tattoo remover is used.
Before a person even looks into selecting a tattoo remover, it is important for them to understand how their tattoo was originally constructed, especially if it happened to be a large and intricate tattoo. In such a scenario, the tattoo was applied gradually over a couple of sessions in order to let the skin heal in between.
When a tattoo is applied, the needle pokes small holes in the upper epidermal layers while at the same time injecting ink into those holes. Once this has happened, the skin molecules bond to the ink, and that is what is supposed to make the tattoo permanent.
So, it is very important (and obvious) for a person to make sure that they choose a tattoo remover that will be the best option for their situation. That being said, there are two main ways that a tattoo can be gotten rid of. The first of these ways is known as TCA. In TCA, the molecules that have been bonded to the tattoo ink are slowly broken apart.
This is a removal method that involves applying a clear chemical substance to the tattooed area with a q tip. Some people choose this method because it is not very expensive. However, because the application is done at home by the person who wants their tattoo removed, it is extremely important to follow directions. This means applying the TCA only once every few weeks in order to prevent scarring.
The second removal method is one that more people have a tendency to choose because of the fact that a dermatologist does the removal procedure in an outpatient medical setting. This method involves using a laser to remove the tattoo.
In this situation, two things happen simultaneously. The heat of the laser is directed at the tattooed area and eradicates the molecules that have bonded to the ink. At the same time, the laser light is working to stimulate blood flow, which in turn makes healthy skin tissue grow. The amount of removal sessions that a person will need depends on the darkness of the ink as well as the size of the tattoo. However, the person will need to keep the area clean and out of sunlight in between sessions for the best possible results.
