Lower back tattoos are considered to be the most sought after tattoo among young women. However, the backlash has kicked into gear. Women who once loved to flaunt their youth and body art in their bikinis are now regretting their decision from the past. Australian tattoo removal clinics have seen an all time high in the number of women coming in to remove their lower back ink. Most of these remorseful women are now either mothers, married or have grown out of their twenty-something ways. The onetime coveted back artwork is said to lose it's novelty a few short years after the beach bum bikini days dwindle away.

The tattoo market in Australia, most notably the Eastern Seaboard, has increased significantly, but so too has the removal industry. The two seem to go hand-in-hand as more people opt for tattoos then later regret their decisions. The process has become painless, more cost-efficient and hassle-free in comparison to the times when tattoo removals were quite the ordeal.
