Schoolies Tattoos
Every year during the Holiday season thousands of loud, obnoxious, newly-legal, viciously drunk recent high school graduates – schoolies – from all parts of Australia head to the Gold Coast for a 2 weeks of pure bliss, alcohol and inebriated nights. However, the one thing kids who made it out of schoolies sober do remember is their heinous tattoo. A large number of the drunk Aussies end up getting tattoos they regret shortly after they sober up. Which is why Christmas time, post-schoolies, is the busiest time for
tattoo removal clinics in Australia. Sheepishly the kids enter into a clinic and remove the marks of their 2-week drunk-fest.
Besides of course the drunken stupor of getting a tattoo, many schoolies opt for some body ink because it is the first sign of their coming of age – newfound freedom from parents, school and pressure. Though soon thereafter the same newly liberated 18-year-olds are frightened to death of Mum and Dad and rush to the closest and cheapest removal clinic. So this year schoolies, instead of dousing your bodies with tattoos you'll either hate or never remember, try henna or just stick to drinking.

Going Global
The laser tattoo removal industry has spread its wings worldwide. From the tiny corners of New Zealand to a booming population in India,
tattoo removal seems to be not only necessary, but also popular. Plenty of people are ready to make the decision, which is why the treatment has been launching in small towns, third world countries between both middle aged and young people. Clearly as tattooing ones body becomes more commonplace so too do removal methods and removal clinics. More often than not people are remorseful of their decision; occasionally due to career motivations, change of heart or a bad tattoo.
Also financing a tattoo removal has become much easier because the techniques have become more efficient and common, meaning prices and the number of sessions has dropped in comparison to years in the past. Which is why people from all walks of life and from all socioeconomic classes have removal methods at their disposal. Tattoo removal is becoming a global phenomenon.

Think Before you Ink
Celebrity influence has drastically revamped the tattooing industry in recent years. With inked stars like Nicole Ritchie and Angelina Jolie, young women are lining up by the droves to for the hottest artsy body art. But with all things retro comes all things regretful. There was influx of teenagers and twenty-somethings dousing themselves with hippie tattoos, but soon thereafter buyers remorse sunk in and so too did the downfall of hippie tattoos whilst having a family, career and children. The same trend is emerging with the recent escalating numbers of celebs opening up and showing the world via US Magazine and Perez Hilton of their newly acquired tattoos.
This exact reason is why we think you should
think before you ink. As numbers of tattoo-clad kids increases so too do numbers of tattoo removal visits. As wonderful of a role model tattoo bearing stars are, such hasty decisions may result in regret. The celebrities may be getting inked, but soon they will be lining up to have them removed.

Air Force Cracks Down on Tattoos
The Alaskan Air Force is regulating visible, obscene, racist, and sexually explicit tattoos for it's members. The Air Force doesn't feel tattoos show professional or militarily appropriate attire or look, which is why they are banning visible ones. Similarly the Alaskan group is trying to persuade members to opt for
tattoo removal rather than simply concealing the vulgar or visible body ink.
The
Air Force tips for attire and appearance actually said,
"Members who receive tattoos/brands not meeting the standards after the implementation of this policy are required to initiate tattoos/brands removal at their own expense upon notification by their commander."
Later the tips highlighted the repercussions of not removing tattoos or concealing them in a timely fashion. This new regulations are emerging on the wake of many crackdowns against visible tattoos. Just recently the LA Fire Department and many other cities denounced against tattoos and in fact told members to conceal or remove them, much like the Air Force in Alaska is now doing.

The Tattoo Tragedy
Lower back tattoos are considered to be the most sought after tattoo among young women. However, the backlash has kicked into gear. Women who once loved to flaunt their youth and body art in their bikinis are now regretting their decision from the past. Australian
tattoo removal clinics have seen an all time high in the number of women coming in to remove their lower back ink. Most of these remorseful women are now either mothers, married or have grown out of their twenty-something ways. The onetime coveted back artwork is said to lose it's novelty a few short years after the beach bum bikini days dwindle away.
The tattoo market in Australia, most notably the Eastern Seaboard, has increased significantly, but so too has the removal industry. The two seem to go hand-in-hand as more people opt for tattoos then later regret their decisions. The process has become painless, more cost-efficient and hassle-free in comparison to the times when tattoo removals were quite the ordeal.

More Tattoo Bans
Another tattoo ban has entered into the Texas workplace. A month ago we reported that government officials, police officers and firefighters were banned from exposing visible tattoos during work. And the most recent addition to the workplace ban are nurses. A Texas hospital is stiffening rules, nurses with visible tattoos are being told to either hide them or get them
removed. Yvonne Van Dyke of Seton Hospital released a statement saying,
"We don't want to have anything in the environment that minimizes the confidence and the trust that the patients have in the nurses because we have very competent nurses."
A few other hospitals in and around Austin, Texas have also developed this new no-tattoo dress code. Now that body-ink removal has become widespread and considerably more cost-efficient, employers are taking action to employ stringent tattoo-laws. Many states including California and New Jersey have caught onto this recent wave of body-art removal codes, we'll see in the near future if a flurry of other states join in.

Today's Worst Tattoo
In today's worst tattoo news, we have lucky contestant Stephen Baldwin, who decided to mark his body with a Hannah Montana tattoo. The 42-year-old actor is the newest candidate for immediate
tattoo removal. He got the tattoo with hopes of appearing on his daughters favourite TV show "Hannah Montana." Miley Cyrus the actress who plays alter-ego Hannah Montana was flabbergasted by Baldwin's upper arm depiction of the pop-superstar. She jetted off to Nashville to see it for herself.
Miley in honor of keeping her side of the bet has assured Stephen he will be locked in for a part on the show. Now that's dedication on Baldwin's end. He may be even crazier than the guy who got a Blackberry Storm tattoo a few days ago.

Tattoo Parlor Turns to Removal
At Artistic Creations Tattoos you can cover your body in ink and then proceed to get it removed. A crafty 34-year-old tattoo parlour owner has tapped into a lucrative industry –
tattoo removal. He's formerly popular Charleston, West Virginia shop was known for creative body-art, but with the influx of remorseful tattoo clad patrons he has also brought in laser tattoo removal treatments. The business savvy tattoo artist was thrilled about his new endeavour,
"I've made a lot of calls, and I'm definitely the first tattoo shop in the area to offer removal."
This week he is starting his removal work by removing gang-related tattoos with a hefty discount.
He hopes to remove people's unwanted ink like gang emblems, names, botched jobs and any other distasteful tattoos. So at Artistic Creations you can get a tattoo and if you end up with buyer's remorse you can go back and get it removed. This may be a trend to spread across the states.

Tattoo Storm
I have found this week's ideal candidate for
tattoo removal. We have all heard the term for our beloved Blackberries – the Crackberry – but one man took his Blackberry addiction to a whole new level. He entered into the "What would you do for a Blackberry Storm?" contest. The man actually got a tattoo of the Storm on his leg and written underneath it "IPhone Sucks!"
Now that he has won the Storm it may be time to get the outlandish tattoo removed from his lower leg. He's proved his point and taken tattooing and Blackberry by storm, next up he should enrol in a "how to remove unsightly tattoo's" contest. If you would like to see the video of the man getting his Storm tattoo

tattoo removal. 1. Lower Back Tattoos: Most notably referred to as the "tramp stamp" lower back tattoo is a poor idea for men and women. Tattoo removal clinics have reported this may be one of the most common areas for removal.

4. Chinese Symbols: The stereotypical "I want to be original" tattoo. Do you really know what your symbol actually means? Everyone's got one, why should you do it too.
5. Names: The notorious ex-flames name or initials. Bound of relationship turmoil and removal. These are probably one of the most commonly removed tattoos. Avoid the everlasting love tattoo, and opt for maybe henna next time.
