There are a large number of different reasons that people may give for choosing to get tattoo removal. The breakup of a relationship symbolized by the tattoo is one leading reason. Problems with finding a job or maintain a professional position over time is another main reason. But one study has found that ultimately the leading reason that people opt to get tattoos removed is just because they have gotten tired of having the tattoo on their bodies.
Tattoos are designed to be permanent. Life, however, is not permanent. The things that are important to us change over time. The things that we wish to make prominent in our lives are different when we are twenty than when we are thirty and different again when we are forty or fifty. A tattoo that represents something important to us at twenty just isn't likely to remain important for the next thirty years.
The study found that almost seventy percent of people say that the reason they are interested in getting laser tattoo removal is simply because they are tired of the tattoo. They don't like it as much anymore, don't believe it anymore or are just sick of trying to make it appropriate for different social and professional environments. Learn more
