Removing Holocaust Tattoos

jewishamerican.jpg

There are some people who don't believe that laser tattoo removal should be an option to people with tattoos. Anti-removal folks include tattoo artists who believe that their work should be permanent, parents who want their kids to take tattooing seriously and others who simply believe that a tattoo is a choice that you shouldn't have an option to be fickle about.

However, there are some cases which come up that make everyone think twice about the right to tattoo removal. For example, what about someone who was tattooed during the Holocaust? Shouldn't that person have a right to get their tattoo removed now if they don't want it there as a reminder of the horrors that they went through?

Learn more about the Holocaust from this recent news article (which mentions the practice of tattooing).

Question of the Day: Do you think tattoo removal should be a right?
