Celebrity Tattoo Removal Candidates in Bollywood
You probably don't know the names
Saif Ali Khan and
Kareena Kapoor. That is, unless you're a fan of Bollywood. Both of these actors are well-known in the Hollywood of India and have made headlines in recent months as they've begun dating each other. Recently, Saif specifically made headlines when he reportedly got
Kareena's name tattooed on his arm.
Her name is apparently tattooed in the ancient Indian language Devnagari. As a result, not everyone may reasily recognized that the tattoo is a symbol of his love for Kareena. But if Saif and Kareena split up, he may find that the tattoo is enough a reminder of their fleeting relationship to send him in search of a good doctor for some
laser tattoo removal.

Tips for Avoiding Gaming Tattoo Regret
Laser tattoo removal makes it easier than ever before to get rid of tattoos that stop suiting your style. However, it's always best to avoid getting bad tattoos in the first place if you can. People get tattoos for many different reasons and have tattoo regret for just as many reasons. But one kind of tattoo regret that you might not know about is gaming tattoo regret.
If you're not a part of the gaming world (those folks who are in love with computer games and game systems like the Wii) then you might not realize that there is a whole culture of people out there getting a certain type of tat. But there is. Gamers are getting characters from favorite games tattooed on their bodies in droves.
While many of these people will go on loving their body art for a long time, a number of others will outgrow the images as they outgrow the games. Technology is going to change, games are going to become very different and many people might find that ten years from now their old gaming tattoo just makes them look silly.
To avoid gaming tattoo regret, the folks over at
Kotaku recommend a series of tips. First of all, make sure that you realize that this is supposed to be permanent. Pretend tattoo removal isn't an option and think about whether you want this art forever. Next, find a good tattoo artist and a good design. Then make sure that the tattoo artist understands the design. Finally, avoid logos and other marketing that you might not support in the future.
Question of the Day: What's your opinion on gaming tattoos?photo link

GQ Writer Supports Tattoo Removal for Women
The Daily Mail has published an opinion article by Alex Blimes, the features director of GQ magazine. In this article, Blimes offers up the potentially unpopular opinion that young women today should not be getting tattoos. And he goes on to suggest that tattoo removal should be a lucrative industry as these women start to realize that getting tattoos was a bad idea.
There are many different reasons that Blimes gives for his dislike of tattoos on girls. Some of these include:
- They're a sign of a shallow and conformist mentality.
- They're aesthetically unappealing.
- Girls don't seem to stop at one and multiple tattoos on women are unattractive.
In his most harsh comment, he says:
"Show me a girl with a tattoo in 2008, and I'll show you a girl who spends far too much time looking at paparazzi pictures of starlets falling out of minicabs, updating her Facebook page and voting via text message in television talent shows." (source)
Blimes does concede however that the occasional cool chick like Angelina Jolie can pull off tattoos. But even she has had her occasional tattoo regrets.

Celebrity Tattoo Removal Candidate: Cheryl Cole
Cheryl Cole is a British singer who is part of the girl pop group Girls Aloud. She's got a lot going for her but, like any other celebrity, she has some real life problems to cope with. The most recent problem is a
break-up that occurred after she caught her husband sleeping with someone else.
Like many celebrities, and average girls as well, Cheryl made the mistake of getting her hubby's name tattooed on her body. Across
her neck, she announces to the world that she is Mrs. Cole. Since she's not going to be Mrs. Cole any longer, this makes her a perfect candidate for
celebrity tattoo removal.
Of course, she doesn't have to get
laser tattoo removal to get rid of the ink. She could choose to do some type of cover-up to alter the tattoo into something else. However, she'll always know that underneath that design is the memory of a cheating husband she's no longer married to. Laser tattoo removal might be the more cathartic choice.
Question of the Day: Do you think Cheryl Cole will get tattoo removal or some type of touch-up instead?photo link

Celebrity Tattoo Removal Candidate: Eva Longoria
Celebrity tattoo removal is on the rise but that doesn't stop a number of Hollywood stars from getting new tattoos. The sad thing is when we see someone famous get a tattoo that we know immediately should be erased. That's the case with the new tat on the back of Eva Longoria's neck.
Here are the reasons that Eva should consider laser tattoo removal sooner rather than later:1. The tattoo is of the number nine. Yes, it has special meaning to her since it's her husband (Tony Parker's) jersey number. But it's the number nine. Who really wants that tattoo?
2. It's her husband's jersey number. Seems romantic now but when there's a big fight or a scandalous affair or some other thing that she doesn't want to be reminded of, Eva's going to be wishing this wasn't on her.
3. It's not cute. Tattoos on the back of the neck are out. It looks like a gang symbol.
Of course, if Eva and her hubby are happy with the tattoo, more power to them. But some fans think that she should put laser tattoo removal on the list of beauty treatments to get in the near future.

Family of FL Candidate Faces Unlicensed Medical Practice Charges
There is a Hillsborough County Commission candidate in Florida who
is facing some serious issues with his family this week. The wife of the candidate as well as her brother-in-law have been accused of practicing medicine without a license.
Laser tattoo removal is one of the procedures practiced in the salons of the accused.
The politician involved in the case is Don Kruse. He has assisted his wife with her business since it opened in 2004. She is accused of allowing students and others without a medical license to practice procedures such as
laser hair removal. She says that all procedures that were done without the proper certification were done as practice for the students. They were performed on each other for free and included no paying clients, a practice which she says is legitimate.
The same is true for her brother-in-law who operates a similar business doing laser tattoo removal, Botox and other "spa style" treatments. The risk that officials are concerned about is that anyone getting these procedures done assumes that their practitioner knows what he or she is doing.
Question of the Day: Would you be upset to learn that your laser tattoo removal specialist didn't have a license?photo link

Tattoos on Reality TV
Reality television has been hot for a long time but it's been making an even bigger resurgence since the writer's strike took many shows off the air. Networks are trying desperately to find shows that they can air to keep the interest of their viewers and reality television shows are the way to go when you don't have writers.
As such, ideas for reality shows are all over the place right now. Unfortunately, new tattoo shows don't seem to be on the list. Here are just a few ideas that could make really good reality television shows if someone would get them started:
- Informative tattoo removal competition. Many people wonder how well
laser tattoo removal works. A competition in which skilled tattoo removal specialists each had a series of patients that they assisted with tattoo removal would educate the public while keeping them entertained.
- Celebrity tattoo removal specialist. We all know about the guys from Miami Ink and we all love Kat Von D (L.A. Ink). Wouldn't it be just as easy to adore a tattoo removal specialist if we could find one that would air their daily experiences on national television?
- Competition to win laser tattoo removal. Imagine a group of people living in a house together who all want to get a tattoo removed. Over the course of the series, they'd be put into exercises and activities which would help us better understand why they want tattoo removal. In the end, only one will win.

Laser Tattoo Removal and Teen Tattoos
Tattoos are now part of the mainstream and this means that everyone is getting them. That group of people with tats includes a high number of teens. Despite that it's no longer a form of serious rebellion, many teens get tattoos knowing that their parents won't particularly approve. And it's possible that parents are allowing this as a form of "acting out" that they know doesn't really harm the teen.
Because
laser tattoo removal now makes it possible to get rid of the art once it's on, many parents are recognizing that this could be a way for teens to engage in self-expression that doesn't have to mar them for the rest of their lives. Smart parents may act outraged at the tattoo but be glad in their hearts that their kid is using body art - instead of drugs or crime - to rebel against authority.
One of the major reasons that parents have traditionally been opposed to tattoos for teens is that they feel like their kids will regret the decision. These days, tattoo regret is something that can be remedied. Parents who believe that the tattoo is a passing phase - like dyed hair or an affection for fishnets - can comfortably accept that their kid can get through the phase and move on if they want to down the line.
Question of the Day: Does the option of laser tattoo removal make you more inclined to let your teen get a tat?photo link

Asking a Spouse to Get Tattoo Removal
There are many people out there in the world who have tattoos that their spouses don't like. But how many of them are being asked to get
laser tattoo removal in order to make their honey happy? As tattoo removal becomes more and more common among the mainstream population, we may see a corresponding rise in the number of people who are getting tattoos removed in order to make someone else happy.
The most common tattoo to get removed at someone else's request is, of course, the name of an old flame. Anyone who made the error of getting inked with the appellation of someone they once thought they loved can expect that future sweeties aren't going to be thrilled about the tattoo when things start to get serious. But even other types of tattoos might be subject to removal based on the preferences of a nagging wife or husband.
Getting a tattoo should be a personal thing that you do just for yourself. And getting a tattoo removed should be rooted in the same kind of personal interest. But that's not always the case when you're part of a couple.

Celebrity Tattoo Removal without the Lasers
We frequently hear about celebrity tattoo removal, a trend which is becoming even more common as Hollywood's stars hear about others in the industry getting it done. Whether it's because they want to get rid of a tattoo that reminds them of a
bad five-minute romance or they simply want to erase the reminders of the past, today's celebrities are getting un-inked as often as they're getting the ink put on.
But there remain some people in Hollywood who love their tattoos. Stars like Angelina Jolie and
Megan Fox are known for their body art and don't have any plans to get any of their tats removed anytime soon. Despite this, they often have to find ways to cover up their ink when playing certain movie roles.
E! Gossip recently took a look at how Hollywood's tattooed celebrities make it look like they got tattoo removal so that they can play a range of different movie parts. Some of these tips are good for the average person who hasn't yet committed to laser tattoo removal but needs to cover up the ink (say for family reunion photos). Movie make-up can do the trick until you can get a tattoo removed.

Do's and Don'ts of Tattoo Regret Decisions
There was an article published last week by
Daily Camera which gave a great overview of tattoo regret. In addition to providing readers with a plethora of decisions to consider before even getting a tattoo, the article provided information about the options that you have if you get a tattoo and don't want it anymore.
Laser tattoo removal was, of course, at the top of the list of things that you can do to rid yourself of the ink that you no longer like. The other options provided as "go ahead and do this, it's safe" were to get a cover-up tattoo that you like better or to learn to accept the tattoo for what it is. For people who don't want any tattoo at all, laser tattoo removal was the only recommended course of action.
On the "don't" side of things were some tattoo regret choices which are unfortunately common but which are usually mistakes. Topical
tattoo removal creams, flesh-toned tattoo ink and
do-it-yourself tattoo removal were all strongly recommended against in the article. The only real course of action is to go to a
tattoo removal specialist and figure out your removal options.
Question of the Day: Can you think of any other good choices for resolving tattoo regret?photo link

Unlicensed UK Tattoo Removal Salon Fined For 2nd Time
Over in the UK, you have to have a proper license to perform
laser tattoo removal. However, that doesn't stop salons without the proper licensure from performing tattoo removal procedures. The threat of fines isn't always enough to deter businesses that know they can profit greatly from offering these much-desired services.
In fact, the actual punishment of fines doesn't seem to be enough of a deterrent, at least not in
the case of one salon which was recently fined for the second time. The salon owner paid the original fine of £15,000 and continued providing laser tattoo removal (as well as laser hair removal) at his salon. He has now been charged double that fine for continuing operations without a license. The man also received a two-year prison sentence which was converted to probation and is required to perform one hundred hours of community service work.
Here in the United States, there are no strict laws requiring laser tattoo removal specialists to have specific medical licenses. However, as more legislators become aware of the importance of treating this issue seriously, legislation to this end may be passed. In the meantime, make sure that you always work with a
qualified doctor to get tattoo removal.
Question of the Day: Do you think a fine is appropriate punishment for providing laser tattoo removal without a license?photo link

Does Tattoo Removal Trend Indicate that Tattoos are Self-Mutilation?
Laser tattoo removal has grown in popularity over the last several years. There are many reasons for this including an increased availability of services from
qualified doctors and heightened awareness that tattoo removal is an option for resolving tattooo regret. Those may be the factors contributing to the trend, but what exactly is the tattoo removal trend itself indicative of?
As pointed out yesterday (in the case of
celebrity tattoo removal by Sporty Spice), a common reason to get tattoos removed is because they serve as reminders of unhappy time periods in a person's life. This leads to the conclusion that perhaps people get tattoos during periods of unhappiness. Is tattoo removal a trend which indicates that tattoos are less about art and rebellion than they are about self-mutilation?
Of course, there are many people who get tattoos for positive, happy and fulfilling reasons. But it's also true that there are people who get body art because they want their exterior to match their interior. In cases where the interior emotional landscape is dark and ugly, the art frequently reflects this. As emotions change, the individual may suffer tattoo regret.

Celebrity Tattoo Removal: Sporty Spice
The Spice Girls are in the midst of their reunion tour but Sporty Spice is reportedly already making personal plans for when that tour comes to a close.
Fametastic reports that Sporty (AKA Melanie Chisholm or Mel C.) has made extensive plans to get
laser tattoo removal.
Like many people, Melanie's
celebrity tattoo removal is rooted in the fact that her tattoos are reminders of less-than-happy times. She has ten of them covering various parts of her body and she wants to get them all taken off.
"Mel's ink includes a bold cross on her left arm, a phoenix across her shoulders, the word "Angel" on her stomach", Thai writing on her wrists and a dragon on her right calf. (source)"
The process is expected to take anywhere from two to three years due to the extent of her body which is covered by the art.

Our Tattoo Removal Doctors in the News
Tattoos may be glamorous but the work of getting them removed is not. It's just a job that doctors do because they know how important it is to their clients. It's not something that usually gains them recognition or media attention. However, some doctors do make it into the news. And when they do, we like to recognize them.
One of
our doctors that has gotten a fair amount of media coverage for his work over the years is
Dr. Alex Kaplan who works with TattooMD in Los Angeles. His website offers a number of links to
news articles that gave him some attention.
A few of these articles worth highlighting include:- A
2005 article from the
New York Times which describes how Dr. Kaplan has helped people get into the military by removing the tattoos that were keeping them out.
- An
LA Times article which shows that Dr. Kaplan has also assisted former gang members with life-changing tattoo removal.
- A description of how these services can help the average person which was written up by
Bloomberg.com.
Dr. Kaplan is not the only one of our doctors who has gotten media attention; he just happens to be one of the ones that is most prolific in the news.

Get Your Laser Tattoo Removal Done Locally
People who are looking into
laser tattoo removal should know that there are significant benefits to getting the work done locally as opposed to going out of state (or out of the country) to get it done. Many people think that they should get laser tattoo removal done somewhere other than home. Reasons for this may include the price, the desire to travel or embarassment about tattoo regret that they don't want the local community to know about. However, these things should be weighed against the many reasons that there are for getting tattoo removal done as close to home as possible.
Some benefits of laser tattoo removal near home include:- Convenience of completing treatments. Laser tattoo removal is usually not a
one-shot procedure so you want to make sure that you're going to be able to make it to all of your appointments.
- Health and safety. Some people opt to go to other countries for tattoo removal because the cost is sometimes lower. However, those countries may not have the same health and safety standards for tattoo removal as U.S. doctors.
- In case of emergency. It is rare that there are complications with the
tattoo removal procedure. However, as with all medical procedures, there is some risk. If something were to happen and you got sick or needed medical attention, you would probably want to be close to home.

Fans are Divided on Whether Megan Fox Needs Celebrity Tattoo Removal
The world of celebrity fans seems to be strictly divided on whether or not actress Megan Fox should consider getting
celebrity tattoo removal.
Some have said that her tattoos are part of what makes her
so sexy. Others
say that they just make her look like a mess.
The most famous tattoo that Megan has is the language on her back that reads "we will all laugh at gilded butterflies". However,
pictures from her upcoming Maxim spread indicate that she also has a tattoo on her side with the same lettering which reads "there once was a little girl who never knew love until a boy broke her HEART".
Perhaps it's because she has words instead of images that people aren't sure that they like her tattoos. They are visually different than what many celebrity fans are used to. But does that mean that one day Megan is going to be looking at celebrity tattoo removal? Right now, the ink is fresh and she seems to be happy with the look that she's got going for her. We'll see what the future holds someday.

Tattoo Removal on "I'm Not Going to Take it Anymore Day"
According to the
jumbo list of strange holidays published by "Holidays for Everyday", January 7th is (among other things) a day called "I'm Not Going to Take it Anymore Day". Sounds like as good of a reason as any to get serious about that
tattoo removal that you've been considering for awhile.
Sometimes we just need a little shove in the right direction to decide that we're not going to take something anymore. Whether it's the way that a loved one mistreats us or the way that our body appears because of our former choices, we are often on the brink of doing something about the problem. Holidays like these can provide that impetus to get off the brink and into action.
A main reason that you might not want to "take it anymore" about your tattoo is that you're feeling stuck in a certain phase of your life. You want to move on but things are holding you back. Getting
laser tattoo removal can be a way of releasing the past and moving forward. You don't have to take things as they are; you can choose to move on.
Question of the Day: What else are you not going to take today?photo link

Recommended Reading: UnInked!
Up until very recently, it hasn't been easy to find information about tattoo removal. Sites like this one have popped up to fill the need for this kind of information, providing news about tattoo removal and even gossip about
celebrities that are getting their ink removed. But as tattoo removal grows in popularity, additional resources are finally beginning to be available.
If you want to read everything that you can get your hands on about tattoo removal, you might want to get your hands on a book about the topic that came out recently.
UnInked! The Complete Guide to Tattoo Removal by Erika Finn is a step-by-step guide to understanding tattoo removal. It provides comprehensive including the details of
laser tattoo removal and the
alternative types of removal that are available. It also provides money-saving techniques on how to fund tattoo removal.
Of course, you will want to
find a doctor to discuss the details of how tattoo removal will work for you. But if you're truly interested in the topic, books like these are a good way to get started with learning what you need to know to be a mini-expert on the topic.

The Emotions of Getting Tattoo Removal
We often talk about the emotions that cause people to get tattoo removal. For some, it's just basic tattoo regret after they outgrow a tattoo that no longer suits their style. For others, it's anger after a tattoo artist has made a
grave error in the design. And for many, it's a combination of sadness and relief as an individial commits to moving on from a
failed relationship by erasing the reminders of it on the body.
We've talked about all of these things. But one of the issues that we haven't talked about yet is the fact that these emotions can come up at the time of
laser tattoo removal. You want to make sure that you are prepared to deal with the emotional release that can come about during laser tattoo removal. And you want to make sure that you have a
doctor that is capable of dealing appropriately with your feelings if they arise during the treatment.
A
recent news article mentions that many people cry during their laser tattoo removal treatments. And it's not because of the physical pain. It's because of the emotional pain that comes along with doing something that can be of such important significance. Getting a tattoo was likely a symbol of an important thing in your life. Getting it removed can be just as important but letting go of that past sometimes means shedding a few tears.

Musician Says that Tattoo Removal is a Hotter Business than Live Music
Deke Dickerson is a musician who has made his name in
rockabilly. The genre of music is popular with fringe groups that are also interested in tattooing, piercing and the history of hot rods. This musical subculture has gained popularity over the years in the same way that tattooing has gone mainstream. And Dickerson has done well for himself in his musical career. But despite his success, he recently said that going into a business like
tattoo removal might make more fiscal sense than going into work as a live performance musician.
In an
interview with
The Ventura County Star, Dickerson was asked what his advice to an aspiring musician would be. His response was essentially that if you want to make money, you should look into going to an industry that's growing. And, as he points out, that industry is not necessarily the business of live music.
He highlights the fact that live music performances have been decreasing in popularity over the last twenty five years. That's a debatable point. But what's not really debatable is that tattoo removal is on the rise. And he goes on to say that he believes it's an industry that's going to begin booming in the next decade or two. For people who want to start a new job that's likely to make money, the business of tattoo removal might be better than the business of making music.
Of course, as a consumer, you want to make sure that the
tattoo removal specialist you see went into the business for the love of medicine and not just to turn a quick buck.
Question of the Day: Do you believe that tattoo removal and live music performances are inversely proportional?photo link
