Tattoos may be glamorous but the work of getting them removed is not. It's just a job that doctors do because they know how important it is to their clients. It's not something that usually gains them recognition or media attention. However, some doctors do make it into the news. And when they do, we like to recognize them.
One of our doctors that has gotten a fair amount of media coverage for his work over the years is Dr. Alex Kaplan who works with TattooMD in Los Angeles. His website offers a number of links to news articles that gave him some attention.
A few of these articles worth highlighting include:
- A 2005 article from the New York Times which describes how Dr. Kaplan has helped people get into the military by removing the tattoos that were keeping them out.
- An LA Times article which shows that Dr. Kaplan has also assisted former gang members with life-changing tattoo removal.
- A description of how these services can help the average person which was written up by Bloomberg.com.
Dr. Kaplan is not the only one of our doctors who has gotten media attention; he just happens to be one of the ones that is most prolific in the news.
Question of the Day: Have you seen any of our other doctors in the news?
